Our Island Communities
The archived About Us page describes the Coalition as residents, businesses, young people, employees and retirees who care about the culture, health and wellbeing of their islands. It identifies the group as unaffiliated with a political party or lobbying organization.
People involved with the site described growing food, raising families, operating small businesses and maintaining the distinctive rural life of the Gulf Islands. The site called for consultation and cooperation that considers environmental protection, housing and local livelihoods.
